Furniture is a practical product made by artisans in factories. However, the outlooks and unique values behind these works have the potential to transcend the role of simple tools and give rise to brand identity. This session hosted by HIRATA CHAIR in Morodomi, Saga brings together brands from furniture-producing areas across Japan with wide-ranging philosophies. Panelists discuss how they fostered distinctive outlooks over the course of their respective journeys and created brands that convey these unique stories to consumers. This coming together of diverse perspectives provides an in-depth exploration of what value creation should look like in the furniture industry and how manufacturers can communicate their worldviews.
